Prospective students submitting applications to Furman University must have completed a strong college preparatory course set to include at minimum:
- English (4 years)
- Algebra I and Algebra II and Geometry
- Social studies (3 years)
- Natural sciences (3 years)
- Foreign language (2 years of the same language).
