General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions
Students applying to the Oberlin College of Arts and Sciences must display both strong academic achievement and good character. An academic foundation of four years each in Mathematics and English and three years each in Science, Social Studies and foreign language are expected.
Students must submit an application online through either the Common Application or Coalition Application. Students will also need to provide an Oberlin-specific essay response, high school transcripts, two academic evaluations, and test scores from the SAT or ACT. Additional materials are required for music students looking to join the Conservatory.
