Admissions Requirements
General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions
Prospective students can apply using the Common Application or the Coalition Application. A Common Application essay and a Wellesley Writing Supplement must be submitted with the application.
Students must request two teacher evaluations, a Secondary School Report, an official transcript, and a midyear report from their high school. The following coursework should be completed:
- Training in clear and coherent writing and interpreting literature
- History
- Training in principles of Mathematics, four years
- Competence in at least one ancient or modern foreign language, four years
- Experience in at least two laboratory sciences
Applicants must send scores for either the SAT or the ACT with Writing. It is recommended that students interview with the admissions office.
